We at Matthew's Music hope that you will be satisfied with your purchase. However, should you wish to return a product to us, we will be happy to refund the cost of the item when returned to us within 14 days of delivery to you. We ask you to pay the return shipping only. Before returning any products we advise you to contact us as we may be able to resolve without the need to return the item.
If you wish to exchange a bought article? No problem, if the article has remained undamaged, you can send the article back to us within 14 days. All we ask is for you to pay the return shipping. If you choose to exchange the product for a product with a different price, we will settle the difference with you.
It is our responsibility to get your order to you in perfect condition. We check the instruments we send out very carefully and pack them to be able to undergo even a quite long voyage. We have had very few problems with damage at the other end. Should something occur in transit, we will solve it either by having it repaired locally and refunding the costs or simply replacing the instrument. Your risk until you have played the instrument and adjudge it to be perfect is none.
During the 30 years of our existence, we have selected a range of high quality products in which we have full confidence. We are an authorized dealer of all the instruments and articles we sell and all instruments come with the full manufacturer's warranty. We extend, as well, a one-year guarantee on the instruments we sell.
In practice what this means is that within one year of purchase if you have a problem with an instrument which we send to you, we can either:
- Have the problem rectified at a qualified repair facility near you and we pick up the bill.
- Repair the instrument in our own workshop and reimburse you for all shipping costs.
- Replace the instrument - no cost to you.
In our store we accept cash, bank card and creditcard payments. For our online sales, we accept the following payment options:

Pick up in our shop
You are more than welcome to pick up your order at our store in Edam. We ask you to please contact us first to make sure we have your item in stock.
We pride ourselves in offering you a broad musical selection and the convenience of buying online. We ship all over the world. We take care in packing our articles safely (we are all players here). All instruments sold by us are carefully set up and play-checked prior to shipping. You will receive tracking information upon shipment.
Within The Netherlands
We ship with PostNL Postal Service. Delivery is almost always overnight. Shipping costs are € 3,95. Free shipping on orders above € 50,-.
Within European Community
We ship with Netherlands Priority Post. Delivery is 2 - 4 days. Shipping costs to Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany and United Kingdom are € 8,95. Free shipping on orders above &euro 150,-. For the rest of Europe shipping costs are € 15,- and free shipping on orders above € 300,-.
Outside of the European Community
We ship with Netherlands Priority Post. Delivery worldwide is 1 - 2 weeks. Shipping costs are € 30,00.
All shipments have a tracking number and we will proactively follow your order until the order is delivered to you.
If you wish to have your order send with a different postal service that is possible. Please let us know and we will contact you regarding the possibilities and possible extra costs.

Parking and accessibility
In the centre of Edam, we have a blue parking zone. You can park your car for free for 1 1/2 hours, but please do not forget to use your parking disc.
By Public Transport
From Amsterdam, there are busses that leave every half hour for Edam. The busses are situated at the back of Central Station, on the water side. The most direct bus lines are: 314 and 317. Otherwise you can take a more scenic route on the lines: 310, 312, 316 and 318. You get out at the main bus station of Edam. From there it is a 5 min. walk to our store. Security and privacy are very important to us. We ensure an appropriate degree of securing personal data. We do not sell or transmit any customer's personal information to third parties. Our entire website was transferred in 2016 to the secure HTTPS protocol, which encrypts all transmitted data.
