Details

This handmade Altus headjoint is fully made of silver and is fully gold plated. Interestingly enough, the gold plating has a substantial and very positive effect on the sonics of the head joint and therefore on the entire flute. The resulting sonority is large with extra robustness and a much more interesting tonal palette.

The Altus S-Cut headjoints have an oval shaped embouchure hole and produce the trademark Altus sound: vibrant warmth with excellent projection. Its pure tonal center allows the artist great flexibility with an infinite color palette.
