Schreiber is one of the most respected German Bassoon Manufacturers.

Their instruments are characterised by a warmth and fulness of sound and by the freedom offered the player to express his/her musicality. Schreiber made instruments for a number of companies and Linton, USA was one of them.

This Linton Bassoon is perfect for the advancing serious player with extreme dynamic possibilities and great subtlety allowing the player wide lattitude to express his/her musical thoughts. This Linton Bassoon has signs of external wood damage (normal, in my experience, with bassoon players that are a bit careless with assembly of their instruments) but it has certainly not been misused. There are a couple of cracks in the wood which have been repaired long ago and show no signs of opening up either now or in the future.

We have meticulously re-padded it using Pisoni DeLuxe White Leather pads. All the corks and felts have been replaced. Although second hand, this instrument Plays as NEW !!
