Yamaha Bb Clarinet - YCL 450M Duet+
The Yamaha YCL-450 clarinet in Bb (B-flat) is designed for advanced clarinetists who want to switch to a wooden clarinet, or for beginners who are looking for an instrument that will help them develop well in the future.
The Grenadilla wooden body and the silver-plated mechanism give the YCL-450 not only a professional appearance but also a rich, warm sound. With the newly designed barrel and bell, the instrument has a remarkably light response, focused tone and precise intonation. The power forged mechanism is very durable, ergonomically designed and features blue-steel springs, making it play lighter than Yamaha's entry-level clarinet.
This YCL-450M Duet + version combines the positive features of Grenadille wood and an ABS plastic clarinet. The inside of the upper joint is injected with a thin layer of ABS-resin. As a result, the clarinet is better resistant to moisture and humidity and temperature changes and is therefore less likely to burst. Because the synthetic resin layer is so thin, the 450M Duet + keeps the deep and rich tone (and natural appearance) of the African Grenadilla wood.
