The Altus 917 alto flute comes with an split E-mechanism and a handmade straight head joint with solid silver lip plate and riser.

The Altus 900 series of alto flutes come with a 925 Sterling silver head-joint that features the winning combination of the typical sound of silver and improved projection power. A wider overtone spectrum and more tonal richness are further attributes of the ALTUS transverse flutes in this series.
